The Zarmir, Conqueror in the ancient Sith tongue, was developed by Warmaster Remus Kelbor as a means to provide armor and protection to the new organic lifeforms that have entered into the service of the Sith Confederacy. Kelbor directed the various corporations, companies and armories that provided contracts to the Sith Confederacy to study both the Phase I and Phase II Clone Trooper armor in addition to the newer, more modernized Imperial Stormtrooper armor and adopt the ancient designs to fit similar protection, use and other standards that have advanced since the days of old. The Zarmir armor system contains a number of features such as a heads up display that can be manipulated with the users vision, filtration and rebreather systems which can be utilized on most hazardous worlds in addition to being on par with Phase II and Imperial Stormtrooper armor in terms of protection and mobility.

Intended to be a wide-spread armoring system, the Zarmir is divided into two primary systems the first being issued to planetary militias and those forces who might directly operate for the Sith Confederacy. The armor is derived from the ancient Sith Empire during the time of Darth Revan and Darth Malak. The Warmaster's intention was that those forces underneath the direct control of the Sith Confederacy always had a leg up on planetary militias and personal forces of those Sith Lords throughout the Sith Confederacy.

The primary issued armor for this series is the common silver variant, this is intended for the basic run of the mill soldier. Officers within these local militias and forces will wear the red variant, denoting their authority from their respective planets or local hegemonic lord. The final two colors fill a similar role, the black and the gold both are reserved for specialist and "commando" type forces. The Warmaster wanted to denote a clearly defined hierarchy for armor so that both allies and enemies knew who they were dealing with on the battlefield. While the system was laid down to be followed, there is little preventing planetary forces and different Sith Lords from making changes to the armor to fit their needs or desires.

The second class of the Zarmir combat system is designed for troops and soldiers directly underneath the control of the wider Sith Confederacy military. Kelbor, at the direction of the Dark Lord of the Sith, intended to more heavily protect the troops that answer directly to the Dark Lord's wishes. Kelbor adopted the designs from the even more ancient Sith Empire that served underneath the shadowy Sith Emperor and the Dark Council, where the new Dark Lord of the Sith drew his inspiration and desires from. Following suit to the first class of armor, color is important. The most common variant is a largely black with some red highlights which denote the common soldier of the Sith Confederacy's military. While both the first and second class share similar designs and features, the second class provides more robust protection, slightly reduced mobility and wider availability of attachments and alterations that can be made. Officers within the second class, much similar to the first, are split between black and red denoting their authority from the Dark Lord of the Sith. Specialist soldiers wear similar black armor with grey-blue highlights denoting their importance.
