They are remaking the classic game for the Wii and replacing the iconic bond portrayed by Pierce Brosnan with Daniel Craig. They also say they are going to put a modern spin on the remake.

Anytime I hear "modern spin" for things, I want to strangle a baby... but since that's illegal I'll settle with a demotivational poster:

I've read about that "modern spin" on things. With Craig in and Brosnan out, the story's being reworked a bit so that Craig's interpretation of the character is respected and everything makes sense. Some different weapons will be added. Oh, and instead of using a bunch of gadgets to do small things like taking photos and scanning documents you'll just use a cell phone. There'll be online multiplayer and destructible environments. The music's being composed by the guy who's done all the film's scores since Tomorrow Never Dies.



So, what's the big deal here? Brosnan's out? Ok, so? Isn't he considered one of the weakest bonds and horribly miscast, or was that just me? </div>

See, I've done something right!



No, for me I believe that they shouldn't go back and re-do something because an actor wants in on it, I mean Brosnan never went back and redid Goldfinger which was his favorite Bond film, would he of liked too? I'm sure, but he never for the sake of everything.



and don't get me wrong, Craig is an excellent bond, he truly is, but certain things should just left as they are. </div>

I gave up on the Wii as a gaming console after a series of disappointments with games supposedly targeted at the non-casual crowd. I occasionally play it with friends when we're drunk but it's a god damn useless excuse for a console other than that. Oh and the new Bond movies suck. </div>

I completly agree. The new bond movies suck, and the Wii is demon-spawn. Now Sean Connery, his bond movies were great. He had the midas touch for his movies. </div>

The reason Brosnan isn't in game, as I've read... is that he wouldn't give his likeness to the new game. Other than that, it doesn't matter to me. I never played the first one... and the last Bond game I played was Everything or Nothing. </div>
