Plot Title: The Sun Rises Over Iakar
Objective: To covertly takeover/place protection of the planet Iakar under the Black Sun criminal syndicate.
Bonus Objectives:
  • Take command of the Imperial Medicinal Facilities; “Gamma” and “Beta”, two separate facilities connected over a jungle canyon by way of a solid, durasteel bridge.
  • Free or bargain a protection deal with the resident primate, Iakaru population who have been enslaved and driven away from their home by the residing Imperial garrisons on either facility. They want them out and are willing to take any side who can aid them most, they’re that desperate to be free.
  • Eradicate or remove secret New Republic Regiment led by an unknown major, group is a hybrid of two different types of specialists who volunteered to complete a unknown mission on Iakar. One thing for sure, it’s not for the benefit of the population of the planet as a whole…
  • Destroy the two guarding AT-ACT Walkers ferrying cargo to and fro the facilities on the bridge.
Dangers:
  • Twin garrisons, both composed of freshly conscripted or at least 6 months into combat troops; mainly an encompassing regiment of Shoretroopers, Wet-Weather Gear Stormtroopers, Imperial Officers, and Imperial Weapons Technicians. (Note: Keep in mind, these troops are fresh off the freighter for duty or haven’t seen much action yet with exception of a few easily conquered slave uprisings. Once the battle starts, it’s going to be something the conscripts have been eagerly itching for.)
  • Facilities are guarded by 18 Imperial TIE Fighters and two AT-ACT cargo walkers; due to the short supply of pilots in this current warring climate, the garrison had to expend some of their fresh recruits into piloting the vehicles for the time being and due to rather limited space, the walkers can only walk between both facilities through the bridge lest they risk falling to their deaths.
  • Republic regiment that was sent in to infiltrate the interconnected facilities are made up of Republic SpecForce Pathfinders and Wilderness Fighters, along with another unknown specialist group and unknown major leading them along. All had snuck in from a concealed dropship that tailed the Black Sun operatives to this organization, for reasons that are a mystery.
  • Iakaru Chieftan, name unpronouncable; leads a massive raiding force composed of primate warriors and scouts. Armed with thorned clubs, poisoned spears, and discarded blasters; they wage a warpath to drive their kin. Accompanying them is a small force of domesticated “Ambush Spiders”, giant spiders that climb the trees and canyons for unsuspecting prey and “Narglatches”, stealthy fast apex felines that haunt the rain forest planet for possible meat. Chieftain has long since abandoned his wariness of those who could help; whether they be criminal or republic, he’s willing to do anything to save his land and people at any desperate cost.
  • Black Sun (Insert Characters and their faction teams/allies here :D)
Proposal Plot Overview:
“With the current political tensions rising to eventual war between the Outer Realms and allegiances to the New Republic, Trade Federation, and the newly birthed Galactic empire; one lone planet garners criminal attention. Lush, jungle planet Iakar has been the sole benefactor of medicinal ingredients for the newfound flourishing Empire; such rich resources needed allowed for two massive facilities to be installed at the suggestion of Wilhuf Tarkin. Taking advantage of the galactic level political race as a distraction, the already wealthy Black Sun criminals have set their sights on attaining control over the rain forest planetoid, by deal or by blaster. Iakar’s enslaved population is already on the verge of a vital raid that could destroy the facilities stripping their land of life; they are open for whomever helps and will do anything to drive away the invading Imperials. Detaching an unknown covert invading force, the Black Sun aims to have Iakar and their priceless trade to be under their custody but this will not go without contestment.
Following the dispatched forces with a unknown goal in mind; a meddlesome regiment of New Republic specialists intend on a similar goal and more left a mystery.
Who will win over the planet before the Empire takes notice with full force?”

Phases:
Phase 1: Iakar (Outer Space/Landing Point) - Land down on the planet and attain the trust of Iakar Chieftan (Site Admins/Mods can name him if they want to, creativity is open for players); also prepare for possible attacks by three TIE Fighters patrolling jungles and wild Ambush Spiders (size range equivalent to a wild bantha).
Phase 2: Iakar Canyon (“Beta” and interconnecting bridge to “Gamma”)- Encounter the first facility, a massive warehouse building with security garrison made of half a regiment and one lone AT-ACT cargo walker; four durasteel blocks line up the facility holding the cramped feral slaves. Remove the Imperials or Republic troops, free the slaves, and move to “Gamma”. However, the bridge has one more cargo walker and it has targets in range.
Phase 3: Retaking Glory ( Bridge and “Gamma” facility)- Wipeout the last remaining vehicles and retake the last facility for the planets people, while getting some personal gain out of it too. Expect for the forces to go into desperation as stormtroopers go in blindly to protect the last trade facility, TIE-Fighters will be definitely aiming at you if you destroy the last walker. Final confrontation either ends in a victory for Black Sun or Republic Forces or a deathly failure at the armored hands of Imperials, latter will definitely start a ripple effect in the rising “Bacta Wars”.

Just waiting on Aea to get back! He's the Imperial honcho. But I like this.

All in all, I like the plot a lot. I just think the issue is "timing" as they would say.

Thyferra is the kick off to the major "Imperial vs. New Republic" plotline, in addition to several others that we have planned. The timing of this plot, I think would work later on as that plot develops.

What I do think however, is that Sharkk, yourself and I can really work on the development of conflict within the Underworld as a whole. I created a Hutt character and have some others who can be involved in underworld stuff.

What I do think however, is that Sharkk, yourself and I can really work on the development of conflict within the Underworld as a whole. I created a Hutt character and have some others who can be involved in underworld stuff.
Looking at this further, I mutually find this plot to be of a later engagement than a starting one as of the recent plots of New Republic vs Imperials.
Although what developments do you think this may do to the Underworld? Especially since you mentioned your Hutt and a couple others
