Armen Farr-Deshra's escort continued its walk thru the main thoroughfare following the semi-circle curve of the orbital station. Nearing the midpoint, his guard escorts jestured to the left as they moved into the passage leading into Mandal Motors corporate offices. They passed additional Security here, all armor clad Manda'ode, to which the appropriate badges and access code cylinders were provided per the visitor clearance.
As they entered into the company's main atrium, the walls were adorned with glass and metal murals. Some depicting battles for ancient Mandalorian history, while others were cut-aways of Mandal Motors most famous ship frames.
His escorts approached the last customary stop at a reception desk outside the public meeting room. The room was lined with decorative glass along the walls and ceiling, granting on-lookers a view in and also a view of the surrounding stars. And of course, Mandalore itself looming up behind.
"
Armen Farr-Deshra, here on appointment with Jir Yormaget." The guard presented the clearance cod cylinder which the secretary received and plugged into her command consel.
"
Ah, Mr. Farr-Deshra, welcome back. Mr. Yormaget will be available in just a few moments. The last appointment has ran long, I'm afraid. I will remind him you are here. Please, have a seat if you wish."
Inside the public conference room,
Yormaget could seen at the center of a long table, shaped in the classic Mandalorian hexagonal diamond. Flanking him a few members of the corporate committee, while on the opposite side of the table was
a lone Mandalorian who seemed to be leading the lengthy discussion. He was in silver armor, trimmed with blue and a brown cloak.
The secretary looked up to Farr-Deshra, "
Jir has asked that you join them in the conference room. The current business will conclude shortly."
As the ornate door to the conference room whisked open, immediately the conversation could be heard from within:
"
.....and this trade proposition would benefit both parties", stated
Tarek Rau, the silver Mandalorian across the table.
Jir's heavy voice boomed in the glass hall, "
To benefit us and.....a Jedi", he said with a hint of scorn.
At that
Tarek Rau rose from his seat and slowly paced the table.
"
To benefit a potential ally whom I represent. I, Tarek Rau of the Journeyman Protectors, a true Mando'ade from this sector." He paused as he gave Jir an inquiring stare. "
You turn your nose up at my sworn lord, and yet Mandal Motors has had many contracts with Jedi over the centuries, and even more recently. Didn't see this board reject Clan Vizsla when Maul gave then credits and courage to make war against the former Duchess' regime. In fact, you welcomed Maul and his syndicates with open arms to start heavy warship manufacturing again. Then let us not forgot you gladly re-arming segments of Death Watch to carry out contracts for the infamous Count Dooku."
Jir and his board of directors looked visibly irritated but shunned into admitting silence all the same.
Tarek continued, "
And you eagerly provided weapons and ships for our past Manda'lor Jango Fett and his famous one hundred (100) Cuy'val Dar that went into exile to honorably train the Grand Army of the Republic for the Jedi. And I even hear rumor of envoys being accepted here from the Mereel lad, even after his recent alliance with the Sith Confederacy. So I would think my liege's simple proposal to be much more to your liking, Jir. Much less......politically complicated."
Jir leaned forward on the metal table in a stern yet acknowledging manner. "
Yes, your proposal at face value is far simpler than some of our recent dealings. Yet, it seems like you been have spying on fellow Mandalorians?"
At that Tarek laughed heartily, "
when have the clans not spied on each other to gage strength before any dealings? Such is our competition of strength. But these are things I have learned thru my travels and what I hear being said of Mandal Motors around the stars. I lay them bare before you, so you may know there is no ill will nor ill intent in my proposal."
"
Hmmm, I see." Jir stired in his seat. He turned then, as if seeing the conference door opened for the first time and motioned
Farr-Dashra to full enter the room.
