Lord Oni grabbed her by her right ankle and started walking dragging her out of bed and onto the ground at the foot of her bed. He continued to walk with her ankle in his hand, dragging her behind him. He spoke loud enough for her to hear him, saying...

"You have touched my mind mortal. Fumbling in ignorance I suspect with your blonde hair. I have heard stories of you. You killed my last apprentice, so I'm taking you for payment. Today is the last day of the rest of your life."

He started walking out of her room on Ziost's Sith Acdemy, dragging her behind him. The one and only Sith Acdemy. He had been here plenty of times before.

Kateth "Kat" Slaese was far from the most powerful acolyte on Ziost. In fact, she was arguably the weakest, having not won any duels nor excelled in any classes. That being said, though, she also hadn't died or been maimed yet. The worst injury she'd gotten was when she was tripped on the stairs by the student behind her on her way to one of her lessons.

After slitting her first opponent's throat, Kat had taken to sleeping with a knife under her pillow. She was a light sleeper, so she normally woke up whenever one of her classmates snuck into her room to... well, she didn't know what most of them had on their mind as they usually retreated when she sat up and looked at them, surprised to find her awake.

A Sith Lord, however, was no stumbling acolyte. She was not awoken by his presence until he grabbed her leg. She yelped, shrieking as she tried to grab her knife . He was too strong, though, and she was out the door before she could do much of anything.

"Let go! I'm sorry! Please let me go!" She pleaded as other acolytes began to poke their heads out of their rooms to see the ruckus, many of them happy to see her being dragged away. "Please don't hurt me! I didn't know he was your apprentice!" She didn't know which of her victims he was talking about, but all had been boys so it was a safe generic term to use. She wanted to be released so she could walk and have control again. While being dragged in her nightgown wasn't exactly flattering, that was the least of her worries. She had no idea who this man was or what he was capable of, but being yanked from bed by an irate Sith Lord was never a good sign.

"Because you have killed my last apprentice, your are now forever in my service Apprentice."

Oni continued to speak as he walked out to the halls with her. He let go of her once they were in the hall. He turned around and towards her and continued with...

"Does this girl have a name? Where are you from? Who are your people?"

He was donned in his robes, that ones that would include rank....Sith Lord. He was an Anzat. One of the few that left their homeworld. He stood there in front of her. Showing no emotion because most didn't register for him. He waited for a few moments for a response. He knew his time was limited because of other factors, and perhaps this one was worth his time.

Well, Kat couldn't pretend that his answer wasn't clear. It was pretty damn straight forward too. So, she was no longer in training at the school, but rather taken by a Lord to be in service to. Her Apprenticeship had begun.

Once she was let go, she quickly stood up and fixed her bunched up nightgown. She then quickly took a knee in front her new Master, one hand on her leg and her other in a fist on the floor, looking down at the ground as h asked her about herself.

"Master, my name is Kateth Slaese." she answered, "I come from Coruscont. The Sith are my people now." she answered, not raising her eyes from the ground yet because she was not given permission to do so. One thing she had been quick to learn while getting forced into the Sith education was the pecking order. As long as she kept her head bowed around her superiors, and didn't show weakness to her pears or inferiors, she would be safe.

She wanted to return to her room and get dressed in something more modest than her sleeping garment. She also wanted to get her weapons so that she wouldn't be so helpless. However, any attempt to leave her Master's presence ,she knew without even needing to ask or size him up, would be met with severe punishment. So she remained kneeling, as a good Apprentice.

"The great whore of the core, I was there many cycles ago.......I see.....You have thirty minutes. Gather your belongings and meet me at a docking bay. Your training starts now."

Oni turned abruptly to his right and started walking towards the docking bays. He immediately sent a telepathy message to his young apprentice saying, When we talk to each other. We will only use this means from here on out. By the way the docking bay number is 47.

After he sent the message he started walking with some urgency to his ship, The Forsaken. His YT series 2400 Light Freighter was built for stealth. It's engines ran at lower emissions and many of the other features and systems had been augmented to have the ship run smoothly, fast and as stealthily as possible. It took him about ten minutes to get to his ship. Once aboard his ship, Oni walked aboard his ship and started the process of turning the ship back on. Many of the ships systems and commands were voice actived from anywhere on the ship.

Kat rose, keeping her head bowed and backing away a few paces before turning away from her master and hurrying back to her room. She stumbled at one point when his voice, powerful and invasive, entered her mind. She knew of Force Telepathy and had some training in it, but was no where near powerful enough to be articulate.

Yes. Master. she strained to project back to him, having to stop in the hall to reply. Once she was fairly certain she had done it, she returned to her room and packed her few possessions. Dressing in her dark Acolyte robes, she slid her secret knife into a little fold of the fabric she had turned into a rudimentary pocket by cutting a slit with the knife. Her lightsaber she buckled to a strap inside her cloak.

Once done, she headed at a sprint back towards the docking bay area. She had to run down the bays, starting at number one, and arrived at bay forty-seven with maybe two minutes to spare.

Panting, she boarded the ship and looked for her master. "Master, I'm here." she breathed

Your first mistake. This is your only warning, take note of it.

He told her through Telepathy as he turned around his pilot's chair to see her panting in front of him. He continued to talk to her by means of telepathy...

Take the copilot's chair. We are leaving for Rishi.

He turned around in the chair and started the take off procedure. Started and was doing it in complete silence. He would let his apprentice break the silence first. He would then tell her the roles, what they were doing, and about her training.

He wasn't really there for the Sith Council. It wasn't his thing. He was planing on going rogue......

Kat swallowed nervously when she heard her master's reprimand. She looked down and knelt under his gaze, grimacing as she focused on communicating with him in silence.

I. Sorry.

She rose when he instructed her to take a seat in the copilot position and did as instructed, walking over to the cushioned seat and seating herself. She buckled and strapped herself in, sitting silently as Master Oni went through the procedures to prepare for taking off. She eventually felt bold enough to ask Where.... Rishi? she asked, listening intently as he began to elaborate on their destination and her training.

Rishi, because that is where my Old Temple is at and where your going to train at.

Oni told Kateth by means of telepathy as he finished the process of starting up his ship. He lifted there Coreillian freighter off the ground and hit the acceleration. Within moments they had cleared the docking bay and head directly towards space. There was no fancy flying or antics. Just clean, and effective flying. As soon as he would clear the atmosphere he could kick his ship into hyperspace.

He sent another message to his new apprentice, saying through telepathy...

Your training needs will be more fully met at my Old Temple because there won't be the typical Sith atmosphere and your training can be focused upon what you want. Any questions?

Kat nodded when Oni told her why they were going to Rishi. It was a little out of the way of the Galaxy, but if she was going to be receiving more training then out of the way might be a good idea. At least she wouldn't have to worry about defending herself from the other Acolytes anymore. Even if they were going to a place with more Sith-in-training, none of them would have the bias against her that had developed on Ziost.

No. Master. Kateth responded to Master Oni when he asked if she had any further questions. It was all pretty straight forward. Kat was a coward, not an idiot. Plus, she was paying most of her attention to Oni and how he was flying the ship. If needed, she intended to be able to fly this thing. Kat despised being at the mercy of others.

It took a few minutes for them to clear atmosphere. In the down time Oni did not say anything. When they cleared atmosphere Oni kicked them into hyperspace. Once they were in hyperspace and everything had been put into the system correctly.

Oni got up from the pilot's chair and started walking towards the storage area. Walking past Kateth he spoke to her by means of telepathy saying....

Follow me, my apprentice. It's time for some light saber work.

Oni walked into the storage area and pointed at a workbench and spoke again by means of telepathy saying.......

Please, in your down time make use of that. If you need any components let me know. And the same goes for the crystals of your lightsabsr.

Yes. Master. Kateth responded to Oni when he told her to follow. She unstrapped from her seat - now that they were out of the atmosphere there was no turbulence to worry about. She followed Master Oni through the ship, down the corridor, and into the cargo hold. When he stopped so did she.

There was a workbench, apparently for crafting lightsabers. It looked like the one she had used back at the academy, and Lord Oni had said as much. Or, not said, but directed his thoughts through the Force. She nodded to indicate her understanding. Using telepathy was difficult for her and she'd rather not struggle through the words when a nod would suffice. Besides, she already had a lightsaber. She felt no need to modify it or make another right now, or did she forsee a need to arise. However, she was far from foolish enough to backtalk a Sith Lord, so she maintained her silence and indcated she understood his instructions.
