Order 65: In the event of either (i) a majority in the Senate declaring the Supreme Commander (Chancellor) to be unfit to issue orders, or (ii) the Security Council declaring him to be unfit to issue orders, and an authenticated order being received by the GAR, commanders shall be authorized to detain the Supreme Commander, with lethal force if necessary, and command of the GAR shall fall to the acting Chancellor until a successor is appointed or alternative authority identified as outlined in Section 6 (iv).

THE YEAR IS 19 BBY. Damning evidence has surfaced against Galactic Republic Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. Shrouded in mystery, this information is delivered to Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker by an unknown source. After discovering the truth, Skywalker reports the true identity of Chancellor Palpatine to Jedi Master Mace Windu, who then leads the Jedi Council in the successful arrest and imprisonment of Darth Sidious. However, during the ensuing altercation, several lives of prominent Jedi masters are lost, including the famed Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, who gives his life so that the tyranny of the Sith Lord would come to an end. The evil Sith Lord is now held captive in the Jedi Temple Detention Centre, a secret prison used for Force users believed to be too dangerous to the galaxy, while he awaits trial.

In the following weeks, the infrastructure of lies and secrets built by Palpatine is all but undone, with most of his agents rounded up for trial. The Republic has chosen a new Supreme Chancellor in Senator Tam Cinadra of Glee Anselm. He is elected in an untraditional, expedited fashion due to the Republic's desperate need for leadership during the Clone Wars. Finally on a level playing field, the Republic makes strides in fixing the damage wrought by Darth Sidious' machinations.

Further, the mysterious informant has ensured top secret information concerning the loyalty of the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) enters the hands of the Jedi Council. Upon investigation, it is revealed that clone troopers hold inhibitor chips designed to cause the downfall of the Jedi Order. The chips are immediately removed by order of the Jedi and Galactic Senate, and the integrity of the Republic's forces is assured.

Even in uncovering the Sith plot, the Jedi Council grows concerned as the ever-lingering presence of the Dark Side grows stronger yet. There are whispers of a new dark menace taking hold in the Confederacy of Independence Systems...whispers of a new Dark Sider. It may be that the Jedi triumphed over the tyranny of Sidious only to contend with a much darker, more sinister threat. Could this unknown threat be responsible for Palpatine's removal? The Republic is desperate for answers....

OOC Background Event | Galactic Event | Factional Event​

• Note: All events prior to the start of our timeline are generally considered to be site canon.
• Count Dooku is killed aboard the Invisible Hand with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
• General Grevious assumes leadership over the Confederacy following his escape and death of Count Dooku;
• An unknown source provides Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker with information that Supreme Chancellor Palpatine is a Sith Lord;
• Anakin Skywalker notifies his master Obi-Wan Kenobi and they notify the Jedi Council, including Grandmaster Yoda and Master of the Order Mace Windu;
• Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Master and Council Member Obi-Wan Kenobi as well as Master of the Order Mace Windu and the Jedi Council go to arrest the Supreme Chancellor;
• In the ensuing battle, known as the "Duel of the Fates" as the Jedi who attempted to arrest the Supreme Chancellor are cut down, Anakin Skywalker sacrifices himself to ensure the arrest of the Dark Lord of the Sith;
• Palpatine is imprisoned within the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
• The "Duel of the Fates" takes the lives of Master of the Order Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Eeth Koth, Plo Koon, Shaak Ti and Kit Fisto. The only remaining are Grand Master Yoda, Saesee Tiin, Depa Billaba, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Stass Allie, and Coleman Kcaj;
• General Grevious travels to Utapau to meet with the Separatist Council who vote to continue the war and anoint him as their new leader, replacing the late Count Dooku, but there are other forces at work behind the scenes;
• It is revealed to the Jedi Council and the Galactic Senate that the Grand Army of the Republic's clone forces possess a number of specific orders, including one to purge of the Jedi Order in the event of a "rebellion". The hastily elected new Supreme Chancellor, Tam Cinadra of Glee Anselm, announces a total review of the clones and assures the public and the Galactic Senate that the inhibitor chips have been removed and the orders "deleted";
• The Galactic Senate votes to continue the war with the Confederacy and the galaxy is now once again in a pitched battle. A new shadowy force takes hold in the CIS;

Winter Solstice

• The Battle of Kashyyyk occurs, the Confederacy scores a victory against the Republic; Grandmaster Yoda is believed to have been killed in the battle; (late Winter Solstice)
• Following the alleged death of Grandmaster Yoda, Jedi Master Bela Khess is elected as the new Grandmaster of the Jedi Order; K'Kruhk is appointed as Master of the Order. (late Winter Solstice)

Helona

• The "Declaration of a New Order" is pronounced before the Galactic Senate by Governor of the Eriadu Sector, Wilhulf Tarkin, formally announcing the Galactic Empire as a competitor in galactic politics. Shortly after the declaration in the Galactic Senate, the message is broadcast across the galaxy on the HoloNet. (late Helona)

Melona

• Following the defeat at the Battle of Kashyyyk the Republic attempts to recover momentum by launching a supporting effort at JanFathal. (Mid Melona; Phase 2 and Phase 3 topics)
• Mandalore the Redeemer launches an attack on the planet of Quermia, prying it away from the Confederacy.

Yelona

• Elements of the Jedi Order underneath secret orders from Jedi Grand Master Bela Khess seek out the ancient world of Ossus and begin plans to re-build the Jedi Order's holdings on the planet.
• Senators in the Galactic Senate form the "Reformist" faction, lead by Lorn Inel (Esseless), they called for Supreme Chancellor Tam Cinadra to resign and the radical overhaul of the Galactic Republic into a "New Republic". Inel and Hela Braven, a Representative from Alaskan write the "Declaration of a New Republic" document.
• Senator Inel pushes for the "Defense Reformation Act" which eliminates the Grand Army of the Republic and creates a new command structure for the new Galactic Republic Defense Forces, Inel and Braven call for the "Declaration of the New Republic" to be adopted and have set internal timelines for a Vote of No Confidence in the Supreme Chancellor.
• Incom Corporation and the Galactic Republic's Ministry of Defense begin talks on starfighter concepts and programs; they eventually develop some prototypes.
• The start of the "Shadow War" between the Jedi Order and the newly formed Imperial Inquisition. Inquisitors, some of them former Jedi, begin hunting Jedi, Dark Acolytes and force sensitives alike to convert them to their cause. The Jedi Council, alarmed by allegations of Dark Jedi, clandestinely begin to investigate.
• The Galactic Empire launches a massive re-armament and formally starts the Reconquest of the Rim campaign underneath the watchful guise of Regent Tarkin.
• The Confederacy launches an attack on the neutral world of Kalee, hoping to capture the planet and more personally eliminate or enslave the Huk as a personal vendetta of General Grevious. Captain Remus Kelbor assists General Grevious in the conflict.

Relona

• The Incident at Bakura occurs when Jedi Knight Cassus Valorus destroys an entire city block in the Bakuran capital of Salis D'aar following alleged skirmishes between Republic and Confederate forces on the planet. Unknown to all, Imperial forces conducted a "Political Gain Operation" lead by Imperial Army Lieutenant Jerec Korr that appeared to show Republic and Confederate forces engaging in clandestine strikes on one another while an Imperial delegation lead by Moff Redar Brenau was meeting with the planets government. Further unknown to the Galaxy the Galactic Empire dispatched Inquisitor Aeaolen Kicka to the planet to hunt Rodian Jedi Knight Mew Naapeeth who was accompanied by Jedi Knight Cassus Valorus on the diplomatic mission. • Black Sun forces lead by Vigo Sirius Ombra with support of Death Watch Mandalorian warlord Kavar Lok conducted an operation on Mon Gazza to eliminate the Pyke Syndicate from its dealings. The resulting fall out sparked fears of a new "Underworld War" and prompted many, including the so-called "New Hutt Empire" to re-start their efforts in re-arming and forming alliances.
• Anti-Empire miners and criminal elements start an uprising against the Empire on Arden II in the recently joined Bakura Sector. Captain Ossis Drale and Captain Galard Thane are dispatched with Imperial Task Force 110. (Late Relona)

Welona

• The Trial of Jedi Knight Cassus Valorus starts on Coruscant. After several long hours the Jedi is absolved of any crimes and is declared innocent. In the same trial Senator Lorn Inel supported by hundreds of other Senators calls for a Vote of No Confidence in Supreme Chancellor Tam Cinadra; the vote passes as Senator Lorn Inel calls for a ratification of the Charter of the New Republic. Both votes pass, Supreme Chancellor Cinadra is voted from office and the Galactic Republic is formally replaced with the New Republic. Lorn Inel is elected as the first Chief of State of the New Republic.
• Following an on-going eradication campaign against the Huk, General Grevious and the Confederacy claim victory over Kalee; he claims the title of Khagan of the Kaleesh people once again. Captain Remus Kelbor is promoted to the specialist rank of "Commander", the Confederacy forges new ties with the Kaleesh people and the Blackscale Clan.

Elona

• Following the events at Bakura, the Senate trial and concentrated Imperial efforts, several dozen sectors of the Outer Rim Territories cast off the Republic and Confederacy and join the Galactic Empire. Moff Redar Brenau, the former Moff of the Kuat Sector is promoted to the position of Grand Moff and charged with overseeing the Gannarian Suppression.
• The InterGalactic Banking Clan breaks with the Confederacy of Independent Systems and formally agrees to neutrality underneath the guise of Chairman San Hill. The so-called "Treaty of Muunilist" is signed by representatives of the New Republic, the Galactic Empire and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
• Tensions rise on Thyferra as the New Republic and Galactic Empire seek to bring Thyferra and its Bacta production into the fold. Several hours after the meeting began, the Thyferran government decided that they wanted to become neutral and both the New Republic and the Galactic Empire launched an invasion of the world. Following several days of battle, the Galactic Empire suddenly retreats, handing the victory to the New Republic and the Jedi Order.
• Isolated holdouts of the Confederacy of Independent Systems who did not wish to follow the Sith announce the establishment of the Separatist Alliance throughout the Galaxy, largely in the Outer Rim. The new Separatist Alliance is lead by Neimodian Jaurs Sifdiy, the Viceroy of the New Trade Federation and the Chairman of the Separatist Alliance.
• Regent Wilhulf Tarkin and Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Validus meet in secret while the Battle of Thyferra is on-going and form a non-aggression and cooperative pact known as the Sith-Imperial Concordant. It is announced on the Sith Confederacy's Shadowfeed and the Imperial HoloNet.

Kelona

• Tensions breakout on Kashyyyk between the Sith Confederacy and the New Republic. The New Republic, in an attempt to continue their underground war on Kashyyyk, seek to undermine the tenuous Sith rule on the planet. (Late Elona to early Kelona)
• Members of the New Republic Senate's Pacifist Council fail in an attempt to defund the Phoenix Legion.
