It's time for a R6 update, which is basically a release (hence the "R") of a major change in or for the site and/or community. In this case, the skin, forum structure and chatbox.
Skin
We've been receiving negative feedback from the player base concerning the current SW:Galaxy 2015 Skin; specifically, the numerous bugs and site errors it's been producing. This has only become a problem recently, but as the skin was created by its original founder sometime ago, it no longer meets some of the ever developing coding standards of today. In other words, it's out of gas.
Therefore, the Staff Team (major kudos to @Fallini) has been working efficiently to release a new, fresh, and hopefully problem-free skin/style: the SW:Galaxy 2016 Skin (aka "SW:Galaxy Heroes")!
This style will become the site's default style, but you are free to change it and use whatever style works best for you.
Chatbox
Chatango can be very annoying and just as buggy as our last skin. Unfortunately, we must now say goodbye to our R2-D2 droid unit and say hello to our new official AJAX chatbox! There are a wide variety of features not previously available on Chatango, and we're happy that you can now take advantage of them.
Features include: Notification of topic replies/new topics in the C-box, @Mentions (you can @ mention usernames in the chat and they'll get notified), and full access to the custom Bbcodes (that means the glow effect/spoiler is entirely usable!).
Forum Structure
Later in the week, I'll be updating the forum structure. We have some unnecessary categories with forums that could be better placed under another category. Consequently, it needlessly lengthens the forum and only adds to your scrolling time. That will change; for the better, we hope.
