Staff Future of Star Wars: Galaxy

Greetings Galaxiers!

The Community Team have been holding on-going internal discussions about the future of Star Wars: Galaxy and where we go after the holiday period. Naturally some of you have noticed a slow down and gradual decline in activity, it happens and we're back now that the holidays are over and we're interested in hearing your feedback.

We've toyed with the idea of a brief time skip forward, nothing major, but a few years and we're interested in hearing about the plot points that you'd like to see, changes to factions, etc. You're welcome to post here or you can post in the #swg-future-discussion on Discord!

Sounds potentially interesting. I'd vote for a shorter timeskip, maybe only a year, or 18 months. However, I wonder if that would solve any issues of declined activity. Some of the delays were from real life stuff that's out of our hands.

Indeed, we're not quite settled on how long yet. We want ideas on plot, factions, etc. and then we'll kinda take all that and go from there.

I’m waiting on my character to be verified by someone who knows. I think I got it the way I need it, then I’ll have to see where I can hop in on the new RP threads as ya’ll are moving things forward.

As an update to all players, we are proceeding forward with a timeline progression to move the story out of the traditional "Clone Wars Era", and into a new setting fashioned by player actions from current roleplay a few years from the present timeline! Thanks to everyone for their feedback to Staff and the Community Team Members.

A quick sneak peek, the plan is to wrap a few key lingering storyline threads that will lead into the next major plot involvement, which will be a community event for all players interested!! For some of the main threads that we are aiming to resolve quickly with player involvement, please see below. Note, this does not include all threads that players would like to finish, just ones identified to tie to the main plot of many characters.

Confrontation with Darth Sidious! The disposed Dark Lord is plotting a final ultimatum to reclaim his throne and punish all those in the Republic and CIS who betrayed him. Will you cower and run while a new reign of terror grips the heart of the galaxy, or will your character stand to join against this threat to all factions and have your actions echo across the stars? The outcome of these coming events will shape the fate of all in the next story arc here at Star Wars - Galaxy!

Thread plot lines will be coming out shortly for this grand end-game, so please watch for sign up posts for characters who wish to join in on specific missions. Additionally, the community is looking to wrap-up key threads of the existing timeline over the next several weeks, so please post as often as you want your character to have an impact on an existing plot as we will be working to accelerate their conclusion.
