Varus was on his way to Sirpar for one purpose, to see the Empire's military capabilities first hand for once. Since he had sided with the Galactic Empire and left behind the Republic the Panteer heir had not witnessed any of the Empire's military might personally, holovids and the like were one thing. Aboard his refurbished Lethisk-class Varus would be accompanied by two House Panteer security guards and his droid Gizmo, just enough to make up the ship's required crew.
Once arriving at the Imperial training facility planet the sights would prove to worth the wait, from the starships to the land vehicles, even the facilities themselves. Beyond this the trainees mucking about were easily overlooked when small bunches of actual storm troopers moved too and fro nearby as if guard duty was required on such an Imperial secured planet, yet Varus knew the importance of keeping appearances. Walking about briskly, but also taking his time to take everything in the Alderaan native would continue to truly milk the trip beyond it's "one purpose". The actual reason Varus was there was to begin the machinations of his political plans of Alderaan's turn to the Galactic Empire herself.
He had hoped to bring an Imperial presence or some other higher ups within the faction to Delaya, there he wanted to draw on the Alderaan's treatment of the planet. They were sisters and yet Alderaan was kept clean, beautiful even, but Delaya was outletted as a factory world had become over cramped in recent years. Varus meant to reach a hand out to the common man/woman, if he could turn Dalaya to the Empire then it would surely put Alderaan on the right path too, correct?
Walking about a hallway within the confines of the bubble-like dome facility that was the Deep Ocean Operations Camp located on a "floating" city out in the middle of the tropic seas. Hands held within one another behind his back Varus would take a moment from time to time to glance over his shoulders, taking in the sight of whatever the Panteer security and Gizmo were doing or rather reading their current body language and expressions as best he could. They were rather bland though, every time he glanced over them he was left watching dutiful Panteer loyalists following him faithfully.
There was something clawing at the back of his mind though, while he was very much an Imperialist now, he would always be a people's champion first and foremost. This left him with the thought of curiosity, what would happen if his people wouldn't convert? What if they were against it or even rebelled?
It was not the first time such thoughts had crossed his mind, however they were always rapidly pushed far from his mind and yet.....

Captain Drale stood in the secure communications room of the Imperial headquarters on Sirpar. Sirpar had become the unofficial "academy" world of the Galactic Empire. The functions of the Imperial Academy system were largely carried out here and based out of here, they were also carried out elsewhere such as Eriadu and the Naval Academy at Pfresbelt IV. The Captain stood at attention and the voice of the Regent ordered him at ease, when he was at ease he folded his hands behind the small of his back and looked at the bluish projection of the Regent. "Captain Drale. I would charge this with someone of higher rank but I believe your particular talents might be suited to this duty." The Regent paused and a communications technician handed Osiss a data slate containing information on Varus Panteer, a former Republic functionary from Alderaan. "He was invited to attend some review sessions on Sirpar. You are to-" The Regent paused and Osiss could see the grin hidden on his face. "-happen upon him."

Drale nodded and the Regent continued. "Alderaan is a planet of idealist and pacifists. The presence of allies in House Thul, House Panteer are incredibly important to our success in the Core Worlds and the Inner Rim. Perhaps in another timeline the Empire would obliterate Alderaan into an asteroid field but that is not this timeline." Drale remained still, his hands folded behind his back and watching the holographic projection of the Regent. "Captain I do not need to impart any further how important that this is. Your success will be-" The Regent paused again. "-remembered. Long Live the Empire." The Regent disappeared. Drale sighed and released his hands from his back, his shoulders slightly tense from holding the position as still as he could.

"What is the targets location?" Drale turned on his heels to a communications officer. The communications officer reviewed a set of monitors. "He appears to be inspecting the Deep Ocean Operations Camp in the tropic seas." Drale shifted his upper lift left to right. That would be a little bit of a difficult sell for an Imperial Navy Captain. He folded his arms and stroked his chin with his left hand. An idea popped into his head and he smirked. "Captain prepare a shuttle for me, arrange for an escort of a squad of Imperial Naval Commandos. I also need a demonstration conducted immediately by Naval commandos at that location." He was rather quick on his feet sometimes and wheeled on his heels and walked out the door.

The shuttle had been prepared and a team of Imperial Naval Commandos had been assigned to "escort" the Captain to the Deep Ocean Operations Camp. As soon as the shuttle departed, it had arrived at the tropical seas region of Sirpar and he disembarked. He walked with his cadre of naval commandos and he approached the location of the "target". As he did, they fanned out across the sides of the hallway as they approached Varus, his security team and rather unique droid companion.

Umitarr stands with his riot shield on his back and electrostaff on safety and in hand. He marches toward Captain Drale and bows before speaking, "Your transport is ready for your departure when ready sir, I have also been informed that I am to help in protecting you during this time." The trooper looks at him emotionless waiting for a response.

Before the meeting with Drale

Stormtroopers marched all around as they were doing their duties, which usually was simply guard duty, some protected important individuals and some were clearly slacking off on their guard duty. But Umitarr wasn't joking around or playing games today, he knew how important what was going on was, and he wasn't letting anything escape his perception, as he guarded a Stormtrooper Commander stands in front of him and Umitarr stands at attention, after bowing before looking straight at him.

The Commander commanded in a normal tone, "You are to prepare Captain Drale's ship for departure after he lands, after that you must bodyguard him during his meeting."

Umitarr salutes and marches off to complete his duty, and once he is finished he goes on to meet with Captain Osiss Drale of the Imperial Navy.

Despite having no reason to fear his fellow Imperials it would nonetheless shake him a tad when he bore witness to a number of troops stomped their way toward him and his company. This would increase as they got nearer...and peak when he realized they were fanning out/around the group of Alderaani. Gulping, but retaining his smooth composure and facade Varus would twitch into a more proper standing stance with both hands shifting into one another behind his back. Legs apart a tad he'd stand tall, or attempt to, he had no reason to show fear, that was weak.
But, what did Imperial troops want with him? Had someone in the new Empire already attempted to get a leg up by putting his name in the dirt somehow? It was a possibility.......
With his own composure maintained his security detail along with Gizmo would also express no worry or stress, though at first the Alderaan guard were a tad shook until Varus shifted his posture appropriately. Glancing them over in long detail Varus would eventually do a full circle while standing in place, his eyes taking them all in as any and every other soldier he had seen there thus.
The Imperial military was truly what the Republic should have always been, if they had they could have conquered the Trade Federation before it had stemmed into the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It was a missed opportunity while relying on systems and worlds to rely on their own military forces, the Republic's ideals of peace and neutrality had let itself rot from the inside out for centuries. Now the Galactic Empire sought to right those wrongs, they sought to bring the galaxy into it's own fold, to conjoin it's people under one banner, with an iron fist if need be.
This was exactly what Varus Panteer believed in....and he'd make his people believe in it too.

"I take it that you are Varus Panteer?" Drale walked up to the Alderaanian noble and offered a soft, welcoming smile. "I am Captain Osiss Drale." Drale extended his hand out for a handshake, a common sign of human friendship and interaction. Drale was still not entirely sure why he was selected but he suspected because of his own noble birth on Vontor. Drale was taken back to Vontor, a world underneath the Hutt domain but had remained slightly independent due to the presence of Kiirium mining corporations in which were closely tied to the Mining Guild and others. The Hutts tolerated the Humans independence as long as the tithe of Kiirium was paid.

"I had it on good authority that you were visiting here. I came here to see some of my Naval Commandos conduct some training exercises!" Drale presented himself in a good mood. He eyed the Alderaanian bodyguard unit and he offered them a wave; as a typical "soldiers, soldier".
